aA The Design Museum in Hongdae has to be the coolest cafe I have ever been to. The place claims its vast territory in the quieter part of Hongdae (but not at all hard to find) and boosts a very impressive interior. First look at aA and you can tell that the shop was designed by an expert’s hands. Extremely stylish, with a rustic yet classy feel to it, no wonder aA has been the hot topic in the Korean food blogsphere.
Beautiful from outside~
The cafe’s outside seating–love love the green, somewhat rural touch from the plants~
Located next to the outside seating is the smoking room. Just stunning.
But of course the indoor seating decor enjoys the most and the best attention, from the artificial lighting:
I can’t stop loving any cafe that allows sunlight to enter the indoor space:
Cool chairs & tables:
Hard for photos to capture the grandeur of the place >v<
There was even a separate attic for those who want a quieter atmosphere:
We ordered a beer and a cold americano. My americano (5500 KRW) was a bit pricier than its counterpart in many other cafes/chains, but I didn’t mind paying a bit more for the fabulous interior:
A cafe so gorgeous even an americano looks good there:
